Description

Alta Capture Collectors configured to use the SMTP Target target type, deliver data directly to Alta Archiving SMTP servers. 

Because the data is sent to Alta Archiving using SMTP, the default size limitation on those SMTP servers is also applied to this target type for Alta Capture, which is 200MB.  

After configuring the SMTP Target in the Alta Capture Collector, it's recommended to change the download size to no greater than 200MB so that processing time won't be wasted attempting to archive files that don't meet the size criteria.  Do the following:

1. Log into the Alta View Compliance & Governance portal.  
2. Select Archive Collectors.
3. Select the three dots at the top right of the Collector and select Manage.
4. Once in the Configuration Wizard, it will open the Source tab by default. 
5. Click Next in the Authentication Configuration section in order to get to the Additional Configuration options.  
6. In the Attachments Configuration section, select the option Do not download files greater than X megabyte(s) and put 200 into the field.   
   
7.  Click through the rest of the wizard and select Save & Finish.
