This article describes where messages archived with Lync archiving will be assigned in Veritas Alta Archiving. There are two types of messages that should be archived with Lync archiving. The message types are either Conference or Conversation as seen in the examples below.
Conference organized by user1@domain.com
Conversation between user1@domain.com and user2
All messages should be sent to a specific Lync archiving journal address configured in Veritas Alta Archiving. Messages will then be parsed and assigned to each users Personal Archive, if enabled. If an enabled archive is not found matching an address then the message will be assigned to UnassignedLegacy. The UnassignedLegacy archive can be searched within Veritas Alta eDiscovery.
A custom archive can be set for Conference items and the message will also be assigned to this archive when the item is parsed.
For more information on Lync archiving configuration please refer to the Guide.
