Description

Description:

As of the March 2019 update release for Arctera Unified Platform, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is now supported for use with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) 3.0 and 4.0  for those Arctera Unified Platform customers who:

  • Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) based on ADFS 4.0
  • Configure Arctera Unified Platform web applications to be used with this type of SSO

Notes:

1. MFA is not supported for any of the synchronization tools, such as Arctera Folder Sync (FS), Arctera Cloudlink (CL) or Office 365 Sync (O365 sync), as these tools have no means of responding to the the additional authentication requests.

2. MFA must be configured through the Single Sign-On (SSO) provider used in the customer environment.  Once configured there, Arctera Unified Platform will use the SSO authentication to allow access.
