Description
This article outlines the processes involved when an Veritas Alta Archiving subscription is cancelled for non-payment.
Please note that upon the cancellation effective date, the login access to the service and self-service data extract will no longer be available.
- Veritas has sent several notices to you (and your channel partner, if applicable) informing you that we have not received payment for your subscription.
- Your final letter contains the last date by which we can receive payment or we will begin cancellation of your subscription (the cancellation effective date).
Upon cancellation, Veritas will begin winding down the applicable service(s) by performing the following actions:
Veritas Alta Archiving - All services cancelled
- Disabling of service(s) on the effective date of cancellation:
- Login access to Admin portal, Veritas Alta eDiscovery (VAD), and Personal Archive will be removed
- Self-service data extract will no longer be available
- Cloudlink, Email Continuity and Folder Sync will no longer work
- Journal archiving continues until decommission process begins, unless disabled by the end customer beforehand
- Data export (extraction service charges apply):
- If a copy of any data is needed, customer must request a quote for these chargeable services via the Veritas services data management team at cloud.dm@veritas.com
- An order for data extraction services must be received before the decommissioning date in order to avoid any possible data deletion
- After 60 days of disabling the service, unless a data export is underway, Veritas will decommission the Veritas Alta Archiving instance.
- Journal archiving will stop unless previously disabled by end customer, and any email sent to Veritas Alta Archiving from a decommissioned customer will not archive
- Customer archived data will be permanently deleted and not recoverable
Please note, Veritas reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse any data extraction request from Customer until Customer's account no longer has an outstanding balance.
