The following message for 365 connectivity errors is received:
Hello Administrator, This is an auto-generated email to notify you that there is a connection failure while connecting to Microsoft Office 365 URL - https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx with user - "XYZ". Please verify that the URL and credentials are correct. If the problem persists, please contact your client services representative.
The following are potential causes for this issue:
- Credentials are not properly configured or have changed.
Credentials can be tested from the Office 365 Config panel within the Veritas Alta Archiving Administration Console to ensure they are correct. Once the Test is successful click Save to update the stored credentials in the database for future scheduled syncs.
- Ensure the user account that is configured is allowed to use Basic Authentication and not configured or enable for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or Single Sign On (SSO). MFA or SSO are not supported for this use.
- Time out when talking to Microsoft Exchange Online
If the test connection is passed this means that the issue was down to a connection time out, in this scenario that sync will be attempted again on the next schedule run. The Run Now option can be selected from the Office 365 Config panel within the Veritas Alta Archiving Administration Console to ensure it completes successfully.
