Error: No Account ID has been specified

Cause

There can be a number of causes for this.  Please see the Solution section for what to check.

Resolution

Please check the following.

  1. Test connection of Folder Sync server to the backend web service.
    • In ArchiveTools Folder Sync console click Task List and double-click on Folder Sync
    • Click on the Settings for Server_name tab
    • Ensure that the Server corresponds to the correct Data Center.
    • Ensure that the credentials for Admin Account are entered correctly.  If unsure the account is correct test by using the credentials to login to the Manage portal.
    • Verify with Test Connection.
    • If all is successful restart the ArchiveTools Folder Sync service, the Account ID's will populate shortly thereafter.
  2. If Test Connection fails and the server connects to the internet via a proxy, ensure that the Hosted Archive location URL is allowed in the proxy settings. (example https://foldersync.lax.archivecloud.net for the North America datacenter, https://foldersync.ams.archivecloud.net for the European datacenter.)
  3. If all is successful and the error occurs for just 1 or a few users, ensure that CloudLink is configured to regularly synchronize Active Directory to Veritas Alta Archiving and that the user that is failing to synchronize has an archive account (verify in the Manage portal).

Note: It has been seen that if a mailbox GUID is different from the GUID within Veritas Alta Archiving this error will be returned.  The following command can be run from PowerShell to gather information on the mailboxes.  

get-mailbox  -ResultSize Unlimited | select UserPrincipalName,PrimarySMTPAddress,MailboxPlan,GUID,EmailAddresses,DisplayName| Export-CSV C:\Mailbox.csv

Once the above information is obtained open a Support case so that the output can be compared with the account settings within Veritas Alta Archiving.  If required, the GUID values can be updated by Support and the Folder Sync process attempted again.
